The HAWK-I-VISION is a well made inexpensive unit from the company that gave us Cebora welding equipment.
It is a solar powered unit charging 2 lithium batteries.(sealed). The helmet shell and cover lens is 1B impact rated for grinding - a function set by the knob on the side of the helmet, which is also used to control the shade change.
Unlike other helmets in this price range, this one has a facility to hold a magnifying lens inside. The standard 4 1/4" x 2" magnifying lenses slide easily into the moulded clips without having to take the cartridge out of the helmet to carry out this operation.
The viewing area is 96 x 42 mm and the helmet is finished in a smart gloss black. The cartridge unit carries a 2 year warranty.
